THE CLIENT: Haberdashery London is a multi-award-winning design studio that crafts breathtaking lighting sculptures and products, celebrating the everlasting allure of light.
PROJECT LOCATION: Nestled next to the serene Chao Phraya River, ICONSIAM stands as Bangkok’s premier shopping destination, offering over 7,000 shops, 100 restaurants, and even an enchanting floating market.
SCOPE OF WORK: We were tasked with producing 112 bespoke sculptures in a stunning array of chrome hues, truly a sight to behold!
INTRODUCTION IN BRIEF
Haberdashery sought a skilled partner capable of delivering over 100 bespoke ceiling sculptures, each exuding flawless chrome brilliance. Equally important was the requirement for bespoke shipping cases and packaging to ensure the sculptures arrived in pristine condition in Thailand.
OUR SOLUTION AND OBJECTIVES
On securing the contract, Hayward GRP moved swiftly to implement a fully integrated project delivery plan. This included meticulous project management to ensure smooth operations at every stage, alongside the creation of a critical path to maintain strict adherence to all timelines.
Our team provided detailed design assistance, working collaboratively with Haberdashery to refine the creative vision. We produced CNC-milled master patterns and precision tooling to enable the manufacture of the sculptures. In total, 112 bespoke GRP sculptures were crafted with exceptional attention to detail, ready for the flawless chrome finishes required by the client.
Additionally, we delivered a complete packaging and logistics solution to safeguard every element of the project throughout its international journey.
THE RESULT IN CONCLUSION
This project was not just a job; it was a magnificent journey culminating in a breathtaking showcase of over 100 gold, copper, bronze, and silver contoured sculptures. Suspended in the grand retail atrium, stretching over 60 meters in length and positioned at a height of 30 meters, these sculptures enchant with their shimmering reflective surfaces, creating a mesmerising play of light that brings warmth and vibrancy to the retail space.
