A truly stunning piece of modern art!

The Lir is the National Academy of Dramatic Arts at Trinity College Dublin. We are extremely proud of this award winning project. Having been presented with an outline scope and visuals; it was our job to work out how best to meet the design challenges of this project. With just five weeks from brief to installation, we faced this interesting challenge by producing visually stunning floating spheres. The unique one piece Grp spheres glow at night due to a special photo luminescent pigment.

The Hayward Grp team worked seamlessly with the project’s Architect and designers allowing them maximum creative freedom. Our innovative approach to engineering and our in-depth understanding of Grp composite materials was key to Achieving the Impressive façade.
The durable but lightweight one-piece spheres utilized just some of our many in-house manufacturing capabilities. Notably design assistance & calculations, precision CNC machining, and GRP manufacturing, allowing us to deliver a complete engineered solution.
